do you go back and check your RESOLVED discussions?

i was really amazed this morning. i went back to my discussions and found out that even my resolved discussions still keep on getting lots of responses from people here. i love reading the responses and i can't help myself in adding comments on them. it's amazing how people love to give their opinions about such matters that they don't care no more even if i have already chosen the best response long ago.
well, i do that, too. even if i find the discussion already resolved and i still have something to say in mind, i don't care if the discussion starter already chose the best response. it always feels great when you are able to type down and submit your thoughts.
how about you, do you still go back and read the discussions you started even when it has been resolved already? do you still comment on them or just find no time to do so anymore?

it's really difficult to keep track of everything we posted. but atleast, we do it in a week or maybe everyday.

topics that we have started are just there. however, it's not arranged from the first ones to the last ones we did. all we have to do is see if someone has responded to the discussions we did. we can see that by looking at the "last responded by.." part at the end of the section.

I go back as well on my resolved discussions because I started it and I know that they will have something to say more often than not. I make time for this and I really learn from every discussions.

that's one benefit here in mylot. we learn a lot from people even we don't all agree on one thing. we learn from people as well as they learn something from us, too.

yep. it's nice to know that people agree with what we say. but sometimes, it's also interesting to know people who do not agree with our thoughts. that's where real discussions come out, right?

Yes, I always do; else, it would not be a discussion, would it? I expect people to respond or comment on what I contribute; therefore, I often take the time to check previous contributions and follow-up, if necessary.

yep. the nice thing about discussions are the nice flow of conversations here. there are responses which receive a huge amount of comments which i really find nice and interesting.

Well I know for myself I will often post even if someone has chosen best response. If I feel I have something to add I will. Since I know I'll post like that I figure others might as well so yes I always go to check any new comments I receive. Even if I don't comment to the responses in a discussion I always rate them and if it has been a while since a post there, several weeks, I will make sure to comment if possible.

yep. it's not necessarily needed to comment on all responses. for as long as we've read it, rate it, that's okey. i only comment to responses or comment on comments when i got some point to clarify or if i got some new thoughts to imply.

sometimes, i also think that it's a waste of time. but my conscience tells me that it's my responsibility to go back and read the responses.

well you must be doing something right. Lol the most responses i have ever had to a discussion is 58 so i guess im not doing so well. Of course i check, comment and rate all responses even after i haqve resolved the discussion. Blessed be

no. you are doing great! i have a discussion which had reach more than 200 responses but that discussion was started by me when i was still new here, which is 6 months ago. so, 58 responses in a discussion is great!

I do. i feel that it´s my duty to atleast go back and rate and comment. I belive that if someone takes the time to answer and give their opinion the least I can go back and reas it.. What´s the point of having discussions otherwise?

yep. but i do feel that some just post too much discussion per day and not cope up to read the responses. i hope i am wrong and i hope they get to give attention to all responses they've got, too.

I receive allways a notification, if I receive a comment to any of my discussions. It can be new or old, no matter... And I always read each comments and try to answer them too.

Oh yes, I still respond to a discussion that already has a 'best response' and I would hope that folks would respond to my discussions on which I have already chosen a 'best response.' Some of my best discussions about a topic have for some reason occured well after I have chosen a 'best response.' For some reason a person says something and that places the discussion forward again, someone else sees it and it takes off! I had one that when I first started it only got one lone response. Two weeks later, it got hot and was a grand discussion! If someone cares enough to respond to an older, already resolved discussion, I definitely try to respond back to them. The fact that they cared enough to go ahead and respond tells me that the topic is something they are really interested in or feel passionately about.

yep. when one old discussion is being responded again to, then, responses kept on coming in again.

oh yes cos i always try to plus rate everyone that responds so they can get a better rating..every one of them..it takes me extra time..but it is my way of saying thankyou to meveryone that responds.i think it is the least that i could do..

yep. it is the best and the least that we can do. reading them and commenting is like appreciating the effort they have done.

I read all the new posts my discussion recieve.
Commenting sometimes, i find it hard to reply to some of whats said and i sound like a scratched record which puts me off as i don't want people thinking i'm just saying what i say. (if you follow me)
If i best response set then i don't change because i don't think it's fair. =)
Kudos

yep. it's never fair. but atleast, we find time to go back and still read the responses. i am really overwhelmed that people still respond to discussions even if it's already resolved.

It may be easier for me because I have started few discussions but I am always having a look at my discussions in order to see if there are new answers. I like reading your responses and after all this is the reason why we post here...i like adding a comment...even it is a little one I use this comment to thank the person who was so nice to share his or her opinion with me...Other times while commenting I have so much to say and we start another discussion commenting to each others words. I receive messages telling me if someone else answered to my discussions and I make a point to having a look to everyone if I can.

that is so true. i also love to comment on responses or even comment on comments. i like reading responses. i don't usually comment a "thank you" thing but just like what you do, sometimes, after too much comments had been added from another, another topic is brought up which is really nice.

i do have discussions for 6 ,months which i haven't chosen best response yet.the reason is that, those discussions only get 1 response or no response at all.

I didn't post a lot of discussions here so I checked them now and then. It's not much of posting comments I just think I should rate everybody.

Yeah.I go back and read the discussions and still comment on them even when the best response has been chosen.I feel that its important to arrive at a conclusion from all the responses recieved.
