I am a Buddhist. I try to pray twice a day. Before I am going to work I like to pray, and meditate to make mind peaceful, so I think bout work clearly at least 5-10 minutes. I also pick up white follower and pray to the gods, Theravada, Indra and Buddha in the evenings in order to have a good dream and lottery number some time.

I think prayer is very good for people. There is research to suggest that prayer helps people in many ways and has healing properties. This doesn't matter if you pray or someone prays for you - it is helpful to do so. I have never prayed to ask for a good dream or a lottery number, as in my faith it is not considered a good practice to ask for such things - so instead I ask God for the strength to endure the hardships faced in life. I think that God is merciful - we don't always get what we want - but we get the things we need to manage in life. **I think Buddhism is a very good religion. We do have some common factors in Christianity and Buddhism - even if some people may not wish to see these common factors. Best wishes and my prayers to you.

Spirituality is the key - look beyond the borders of religion and look to the spiritual side of life and meaning - you will find commanality in all religions. Common factors include the belief in how we should treat our fellow man. Buddha and Christ were very similar prophets in that they both focused their love and attention on the poor and downtrodden people. Both religions preach the way to enlightenment is through good deeds to our fellow human beings. :)

Every day after bath I do pray, though I have a large number of Gods in my temple room, but I pray Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva regularly.Praying gives me peace of mind and a way to thank God to give me a beautiful life.

I do not belong to any religions. But I often say thank you to my God for my life, and for the gifts I receive each day from the life. I have never nelonged to any religion. And probably I will not be the member of any religion.

It's very funny you believe in different religions for different purposes. But I think you are serious about Buddhism which we can keep our mind peaceful. I am a antitheist, but what I believe in are the sme as those religions preach, for example,do good to the others and get good as a result, I follow Chinese Confucian principles as my belief.

Thanks,it seems you are Mahayana man. Mine is Hinayana. My grand- mother was Mahayana. Because we are too busy at work and other things, I used to try very hard but warned by god not to do too hard, because we are not like monks.
