The attached picture is one of several clothes models. While not all look this way there clearly are too many. I recieved this in an e-mail with five women attactched all this thin.
I think this is a discrace if the clothing industry has brought this about just to make thier clothes look better. What do you think?

not a hope!lol, too short and round. i'd make a great M&M though! seriously though, i do think it is completely unrealistic for an adult woman to be thiner than a six year old.

I'm five feet, five inches tall, and about 130 lbs. According to my doctor, I'm at the optimal weight for my build. But if I wanted to be a model, they'd make me lose at least 30 lbs. I think that's disgusting. If I lost 30 lbs., I don't think I could look at myself in the mirror. And I don't even want to imagine the health problems I'd have.

I agree with you and so glad to see you have that attitude. I had a photo of one I wanted to attach but could not get it to work. So did something wrong.
Very pretty face but the body of a skeleten. Very disturbing that people do that to themselves for any reason.

I am a ( cuddly ) granny , I have battled all my life with my weight and I would really like to be slim , But I can say hand on heart ,I would hate to be STICK thin , When you are
as things they are you look really ill , I worry about young people getting eating disorders trying to look like those super models , xx

No, I wouldn't care to be a runway model. I can't even imagine being that thin, let alone the fact that I don't think that some of these models look healthy at all. It really bothers me, too, thinking that what you said could be true.. that our image of beauty is being perceived as someone who has to be rail thin, simply becuase the clothing industry wants their clothing to look nice. Ugh. It really makes me sad, and it really isn't presenting a good image to our youth of what beauty really should be.

You are so right on shywolf. As I said about I tried to attach a picture of one but it didn't work. There are some skeletons that seem to be bigger than she is.
I can't help but beleive it will shorten her life. All because of an unrealistic job. I would much rather see a normal woman as they show the clothes as they will really look. When you hang a rag on a skeleton not matter how nice the material or color it is going to look bad.

Well I would too as long as the models are not super thin. That is disturbing.
