It depends on how the coffee is brewed, and what type of tea. Drip-brewed coffee has more caffeine than espresso. Green tea has more caffeine than coffee in general. Black tea is approximately equivalent to coffee, while most herbal teas have little to no caffeine.

Green tea does not have more caffine than any type of coffee. Caffinated teas (all types) have 60 mg or less caffine in an 8 oz cup (where brewed correctly), whereas coffee starts at 100 mg per 8oz cup. Green Tea only has 40mg of caffine per 8oz cup.

People who are health conscious choose tea not only for it lower caffine content but also for it health benefits. In every variety of tea, the caffine is much lower than any type of coffee. However, where you drink different teas you intake different antioxidents that are very good for you. Also, tea is not as dehydrating as drink coffee.

Well I think coffee has more caffeine content than tea. Coffee has 45-100mg of caffeine and black tea has 45 mg of caffine while white tea has only 15mg of caffine.
