New and confused!

Question - A simple question, in black and white.

So, I get the GENERAL idea of mylot, and I've already updated my interests and started or replied to discussions. But, I'm a little confused about the whole process/star rating etc. Where can I get the basic information I need as a beginner?

You won't get a star until you've reached one hundred posts but the rating starts immediately. People will rate your posts either as positive or negative. We are suppose to rate according to the quality of the post, not on whether or not we agree with the discussion. You'll do fine :) Welcome to mylot and I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I do.
