do you have migraine? what did you do about it? how did you cure it? did you find out what triggers it? Hope you can give me ideas how to cure this. Been having this for almost 5 years now and can't find a cure. it lasts around 3 days of pain. and it comes at unexpected times. And only my right eye socket is always in pain.

I just gave my response similar to your discussion earlier. Anyway, I also suffer from migraines due to stress, over-fatigue and PMS. I had my blood tested and the results indicated that I have low red blood count. I am taking iron and folic acid since then and my migraines gone. Why not have your blood tested too. From there, you can think about what really triggers your migraine or better yet seek professional advise.

I used to suffer migraines, but I have not had one now for many years, at first I used to only have to take a tablet for migraines, and then they became servere and I had to have injections for them, and then go straight to bed. No I never knew what started it, I did have many cat-scans for it, but one day it left and never returned, when I had the tests they found out I used to worry too much so I stopped this as much as I could. If you are having pain in your eye then I suggest you see a doctor about it and have it checked out.

i have had this checked with an eye doctor already and i had eye scan already and got a great result, had ecg or cat scan for my brain and turned out well also. that's why i don't know what other doctor to turn to. what injections did you take and how was it recommended to you? what is that for? i've heard about this botox treatment where it's supposed to be for facelift but they found out in Thailand that it can cure migraines but i'm not sure about it, my father heard before from a friend doctor that it wouldn't be good since it's purpose is to stretch the skin and using it to the brain might not be good in the long run.

I get them all the time. When I get them, I close my eyes with a cold compress on my head as well as my neck, take advil pm and take a nap. This usually helps, I stay off the computer and don't watch tv while I have one for this just makes it worse and harder to get rid of. I sometimes have my daughter rub the back of my neck or my temples, Doc says stress has alot to do with it, overtired, chocolate, caffien so you would also like to try to avoid those as much as possible, it isn't easy, but it helps...hope I was able to help.

thanks for advice, i have heard about chocolates being cause of migraines but i don't think it's what causes mine. i eat a lot of chocolates but it's not the time i get migraines. i usually wake up with it already or can already feel it happening. i also get to be massaged on my forehead or my whole head until i fell asleep when i'm having my migraine but it wouldn't leave yet until i wake up or i get awakened in the middle of my sleep because of the pain.

yes i do have them for 9 years now though my pain only for ane day usually. i only had once three day attack. my pain is always left lobe of the brain
my doctor told me that migraine is due to stress, i guess for me, so anything with stimulant should be avoided, like coffee and caffeine, menthol or mint.
my migraine is triggered by lack of sleep and lots of thinking. strong odor and strong light sometimes trigger the attacks.
a friend told me to consult a neurologist so he can give me a medicine that fits me and not just ordinary pain relievers. pain relievers for long usage will eventually damage your liver so its not advisable to always take pain relievers.
i just rest, i try to relax whenever im in pain, soothing music will help. try to sleep but dont push yourself to sleep, it will will only increase the stress. dim light will help too.
im researching about it, but unfortunaltely, until now, no cure for migraine only pain releiver and its not the cure.

i think you're right. i also don't like taking pain relievers as it is only temporary and i easily get immuned to it. i only drink pain relievers when it is really very painful and i can't handle it anymore, but as much as possible, i try not to since it always only take effect on first few uses and after a few times, it doesn't take the pain away anymore. i guess my body system gets immuned easily lol also had seen a neurologist but didn't help either. i also thought it to be stress that's why i quit my job and been jobless for 9 months already but it still happens. i just recently noticed that my wearing sunglasses during the day almost brought down the frequency of my headaches and i also notice that when i forget my sunglasses on a very sunny day, i easily get my headache.
