Is U.N.O loosing it`s importance???

friends United Nations Organiation was formed to work for the betterment of the world.it is the organisation which decides the standars to be followed to live in this world.it works for the betterment of society,help poor nation to grew.it take care of the burning issues and find measures to stop them.
but now it seems that is ruled or governed by USA and i dont have prooper power to stop USA.what u guys feel about that.

yes,it seems that its losing power and becoming over-submissive to the Americans. USA is unstoppable even by UNO. it is going in its way and paying no heed to UN's warnings.Mr.Kofe Annan has to check this issue seriously and function unbiasedly

The UN doesn't do anything as it is. It is ineffectual and isn't anything more than a meeting of useless people that agreeing on the fact that they should do something all day. They are only useful for saying AIDS and poverty are bad. They have no authority or backbone to enforce anything they do and they are riddled with scandal. I think it shouldn't be around anymore...
