Dogs being eaten by humans??

How would you react when you hear about dogs being put to death so they'll be eaten??? In the Philippines, I heard of Filipinos killing these stray dogs to be cooked. And our government is currently doing services that will catch these people who harm our defenseless friends - the dogs. I was so shocked when i heard of this, and I wished i could do something to help these poor dogs. We have animal shelters now that take care of cases like this and I guarantee you that both of these organization are doing well to keep the animal rights alive. I feel pity to these dogs and I think that dogs and even cats deserve a right to live whether being taken good care of as pets or not. Dogs and cats should not be eaten by humans. I admit that I have fellow countrymen who are into this illegal act (killing of dogs) but maybe, due to hunger, they were able to think of such act. And im glad that our government is now considering animal rights. So i think our dogs have a safer future from now on... What do you think of this stupid act done NOT by filipinos alone, BUT probably, done anywhere in the world by other nationalities???

People need to eat.
Are you going to protest every beef, pork and poultry farm in the US, because they kill animals too? Or is it just because dogs are "cute" that it isn't right.
Other cultures are different from our OWN, it is socially acceptable in other societies to eat dogs, even cats. How do you feel about hassenpfeffer? You don't want anyone to eat cute little bunnies, do you?
WHo gets to choose which animals we do and do not eat? Are you the authority on that matter?

Beef, pork, poultry are normal foods... The chickens, the pigs,... they know their fate... They will die to be eaten... But dogs are man's bestfriend... For me, they shouldn't be eaten. WE have the choice to eat what we want to eat. And i'm trying to tell the world that including dogs to the list of animals to be eaten is not good. They are creatures to be loved and taken good care of, for they have a mind like humans too.

I think it's gruesome that ppl from other cultures eat dogs but then some worship cows and pigs. They are probably thinking we are not normal for eating them. Different cultures consider certain animals as a meat source. I won't bash them for eating dogs but I don't think it's right. I love horses but ya know, I ate horsemeat when I was a kid thinking it was a cow. I was told what it was afterwards but it didn't make me sick thinking bout what I had just eaten. Horsemeat is pretty good. I just wouldn't go out and kill a horse thou like I would a cow, pig, or chicken.
