Best FREE anitivirus?

Good question. At this point of time, I am currently using avira antivir personal classic edition. This can be downloaded at their official website at www.free-av.com. I have been using this software for almost two years. Since using this software, I have never encountered any problems at all with regards to the overall system of my machine. Otherwise, I am so impressed and grateful with its performance. It updates on a regular basis and this can be scheduled at your most convenient or spare time. It is very light on resources and does not use a lot of memory. Hence, does not slow down your machine. Hope this would help. Have a great day!

I think Avast is best.I have Avast on my system and also have macfee. Avast comes in very small package.It has lot many features like Standard Shield,Web Shield,Scripting Shield,networking Shield,P2p Shield boot scanning and so on... Avast has best scanning facility. Updating of Avast database is so easy and download package is very small. So i suggest Avast.

I use Norton Anti virus but it is not free. I also use the free version of Adaware and Spybot and a-squared to scan for junk that tried to get through. These programs clean out or stop adware, spyware, worms, bugs and other stuff.

i will be recommending AVG. not because it's the best but because it has been a reliable one since the first time i used it...

I like AVG. It's what I'm using right now. The trial version that is. My friend works for an internet cafe and she recommended it to me because they are also using it.
