Any good RTS games out?

Are there any good, fairly new RTS games for PC out that have lower system requirements than the heavy games? I'd love to be able to control 2000 units on a screen, but my poor computer just can't handle it :D For comparison, I have no trouble running Rise of Nations or Age of Empires 3 (on lowest setting), but I can't run Empire Earth 2.

Heroes of Might and Magic 4 works great on lower performing systems, I have run it on a Dell 512 MB ram system with a low onboard graphics card and 1.8 ghz processor, I think I have had up to about 700 units on screen in that game and had no trouble running it.
