So do you generally like the official soundtracks released for movies and/or television shows? Or do you find that all your favourite songs in the movie/tv show are actually not on the official release? Are you the type who actually likes to make your own soundtracks to your favourite movies/tv shows? What have been your favourite soundtracks?
The first soundtrack that made a mark on me was for 'Beaches.' It still is one of my favourite soundtracks ever. Another favourite, albeit out of character for me was that for the movie 'Dangerous Minds'. Never quite worked out why for that one though.
So what about you?

I've seen a few episodes of the show here and there, but am not really a fan. Just not my scene really. I have however got sucked into the songs on the soundtracks a fair bit though. Good choice.

Sometimes I like the soundtrack to a movie or tv show. Sometimes I'm disappointed when I see it. The OC soundtrack does have a lot of good songs. Also Grey's Anatomy also has some good songs. I love the Labyrinth soundtrack... and Portrait of a Lady... and Magnolia

I prefer the official soundtrack with the original artists. They remind me of movie, like any good soundtrack should. My favorite soundtracks are Grease and Saturday Night Fever.I had and played Grease before I saw the movie. And with Saturday Night Fever, I was too young to see the movie, so my Dad got me the soundtrack. I finally saw the film years later.

I do buy film sound tracks now and again. The Last Samurai, The Da Vinci Code and The Lord of the Rings OST's are all worth getting hold of.
