You have doubts about myLot? What kind of discussions have your started?

I see lot of people that can start discussions and get lots of responses. They know how to make money on myLot and you don't see them complaining about not earning. Take the time to look at these type of discussions. See why they get responses. Read them and then you will learn to earn money online at myLot. What are the discussions your started that got a lot of responses? What discussion didn't get you any responses?

It all depends, you will see some discussions that are absolutely ridiculous and they will have 100 responses because they are easy to respond to and require no thought. Others will be more serious and have less posts and probably actually make more money than the one with 100 posts that is ridiculous. It's all in the quality and the referrals. For example, I started a few discussions one day that required thought and they had maybe 5-7 responses for the day. I made close to $1 just for the serious posts, while other complain about not making anything because they aren't writing quality posts or responses. It's all in the quality and referrals.

Content is king so I would prefer to have the content and fewer posts and still earn as much or more than useless posting.

Have had two..both about kids in schools. I do get an average response on other things and that is because now I have friends that I have responded to every chance that I have. It has taken a bit of time however it has been well spent since I learned while I earned. I can't say that I have any that had low turn out since over time people find them and even if I picked Best Response they have answered. So take you time and put the bit of effort into it and then results will come. Good luck!!

Well, I don't have any doubts here about myLot. I have been a Happy member here for 5 months now. No, I may not have earned as much here as some of the others on here have, but I am Happy with myLot, and have made a lot of Great friends here. What I like is the feeling knowing I will continue to get paid month after month, and you never know what discussions you might come upon and answer next. As for discussions I have started. I have personally started over 100 in the time I have been here. It just depends on the mood etc. as to what type of discussion I might start day after day. But I have started a lot of of discussions about a lot of different things, and some get Great results, while many get only a few. I think some of my better ones are the ones talking about making money, or the ones that I have started that have Tips to them.

I think the discussion that got the most responses was one where I asked if people owned their homes or rented. It seems silly, but when you think about it, it made perfect sense. It was a subject that everyone could relate to and that was relatively easy to answer. I haven't posted any discussions that have not received responses *furiously knocking on wood*. I don't post more than a few at a time, so maybe that's why?

Hey BlueSkies. I have enjoyed your discussions. and by the way. I chose to purchase a home rather than rent. :)

I took a look at your profile and the discussions you have started. I would say get into the news and a few magazines. See what people are talking about and then start discussions based on what people like to discuss.

I think the discussions that earn so much response is the dumbest ones or simplest ones. These require no effort to reply to. That might be the reason. Some posts which really addresses some real issues or asks for your thought are really left behind.

I think it might be the fact that so many here at myLot are not english so tougher questions are even tougher for them as they might not understand all the words. As they stay on myLot they will learn more and more English and then you may see them responding to tougher discussions. thanks

hi cultofurry! I beg to disagree with your view that discussion that earns so much response is the dumbest one that was not fair to some myLot members who have quality discussion and gain tons response I for myself have at least near to 80 responses with a discussion I think not dumb. We can't really generalize them all it really depend on how myLot member can relate to the discussion. hope you will not get offended with me. Peace!

All of my discussions now get responses. That is due to me building a strong friends base though. In the beginning my discussions never had many responses. I built my friend base and started supporting my friends and they returned the favor. I now get lots of responses, but i have noticed this past month the amount did not increase my earnings. The algorithm of My Lot has changed drastically and we no longer get paid on the responses and very little on the new discussions or repsonses we give. My Lot has tightened their purse strings for now. so, I only pick and choose the best few per day. I am now off to another better paying site and just checking My Lot a little each day.

Yes, I also can see lots of people complainging, I have noticed those are basically new people or with less post, who have doubt about Mylot. But lately some reputed and old member also complaing about less pay comperatively with their work, and I think this is somehow true may be partially. Personally I did not see very much change regarding payment when I had a discussionc with tons of responses. Only I did notice little difference when I had three four discussions with lots of responses in one particular day.

yes i see what you mean..though sometimes i have some good discussions that don't get a look in..though i can't complain..i got a lot resurected by some friends of late.. it is all trial and error at the moment but i am getting my feet firmly on the ground on this one..mylot is teamwork and effort..without these two..there is no success..we help each other..we work smart then there is plenty of pie for us all.thanks for the post..

You will find that if you start discussions that require more than a yes or no you will earn more. Also give good detailed responses to other people's discussions. Start getting friends that will respond to your discussions, as long as they are good. If you get friends but don't have good discussions it won't really help you. Next you want to get referrals using your referral link and then teach them how to be a good friend.

Take the time to go through other people's discussions and see what they have for discussions. this should help you to start some great discussions. Also start to gather friends that you can respond to and they will likely respond to your discussions also.

Hello and welcome to myLot. If you ask questions or have discussions that are on a level that most people are comfortable talking about, then you will have great responses. People here are from all different backgrounds but we all have things in common. Things like families, pets, homes, children... So these topics can help you get started. Also start your discussions under the interest sections so that you will be seem longer than if you just start a general discussion. Referrals can also help you if they are active and respond to your discussions. As well as your friends. All of this and watching other discussion to see how they started their discussion. Sometimes it is better to sit and read for a while before you create discussions so you can see what type get the best response. Don't just look at the number of responses. this site is about content so look and see how many but also what did they type, was it one or two words or a paragraph or two. Good luck and have fun

so far in my four weeks here i don't get much responses to my post, there are those who even got 0 responses and this can make me felt bad. When i tried to check other post it seems to me that they are not really with quality, sorry to say (maybe quality to me means different to others) something like whatever comes out in their head. It is really depressing to think about it most especially when you started a discussion not because you just want to get responses but rather you want real opinions about the topic. But that's mylot life i guess, we can never change it. I still continue to post and discuss whatever is my conviction or my ideas of interest even i have just a few responses that would be enough for me. I believe mylot pay for quality and not quantity... i hope so.

I think it is better to have fewer discussions but to have quality discussions. They will earn you more than many poor discussions will. I would like to see people think a bit more before they start discussions. Thanks

I have no doubts here, I absolutely love being here. My discussions that have got the most responses have been the ones about earnings here, the last one is at 78 responses. The next best was "Have your views changed from when you were younger" that one got 63 responses so far. I don't have any discussions with zero responses, but I do have one that has one response on my unresolve discussions and it irates me to no end!! :) I have asked my daughter to go in and comment on it to try and resurect it, but thus far she hasn't! :)

I must confess that I really don't have too many doubts about myLot. I've participated in an assortment of web forums since the early BBS days, and I think it's a pretty cool deal to be able to do this and actually watch a few pennies trickle in. It seems to be somewhat of a "web truism" that if you start a debate about something slightly controversial, or a "hot news" item, or tips on making/saving money, people tend to come flocking out of the woodwork. It would be nice to think that quality content automatically attracts readers, but even the most well-written article on "The History of British Dust" will gather dust, rather than comments. For me, the real challenge on a site like myLot is how to stay true to my own interests and areas of expertise AND get readership. I say "challenge," because if your interests are out on the fringe of popular culture, it becomes more difficult to attract a mainstream reader.

Hey there. If you want to earn money on myLot make sure you start great discussions that are worded to get good responses instead of just yes or no or one or two word responses. Also respond to discussions with good words and you will get paid. Get friends that will respond to your discussions and they will help to earn you more money. And of course get referrals that will help your earn more because you make 25% of what they earn.
