Today I whent to the market and I paid more for a pair of socks than for a kilo of apples. What do you think about that?
Is it fair?
This summer I'm thinking of walking bare-feet...:D

Expensive? Seriously you don't know the meaning of the word until you've lived in London - everything here costs about 3 times as much as anywhere else in the world.

Well that's another misconception - unless you're a lawyer or some other professional the wages aren't enough to cover the high cost of living. The streets of London, sadly, aren't paved in gold. Ordinary people don't earn huge sums yet still have to pay through the nose for the basics. Cars, petrol, houses - they all cost a lot more here than in America (for example).

Haha. Well, depends on the quality of the pair of socks you've bought? Maybe they were of good quality, and fruits aren't that expensive, so that would explain the reason as to why the socks were more expensive.
