Dont answer the phone!

A lot of the times when people call my house phone I dont even bother to answer it. Everytime I do the first thing I hear is "how would you like to buy...SLAM." I hste how all these people call to sell me things. Even when I tell them to leave me alone they just call me back a week later. It gets me so angry. How do you stop them?
