"New Alert(s)" at top left of screen of MyLot

How do I get rid of the "New Alert(s)" message at the top left of my screen when I'm done reading the new message? Do I have to delete the message? I've noticed this before when I'm here, and the only way I have found to remove it is to "logout" the "login" again. Is there another way?
