I've been asking this question to myself, and to my friends too in real life. This idea came when my aunt and hi husband file for divorce- and the reason was their failure to have a child. There are a lot of complexities to the answer and there's so much of them being right and wrong, the thing is, it somehow contradicts some of the ideals of a particular relationship, i don't know if i have to address the moral side of the situation or the practical side.
Tell me, will a couple survive without a child?

They can survive for sure. There are also so many other ways of getting a child if you really want one - adoption probably beeing the best one.
I would not wanna split up with my husband f we could not produce a child. I would love him too much!
