My husband and I brought our three year old twins to a restaurant last night and their behavior was ok. I would expect by now that they would be excellent! They are still crawling under the tables and standing up in the booths. Does anyone have any advice as to how to keep the kids a bit more occupied during dinnertime. We do bring dolls, books, paper, crayons, etc. Perhaps it's still the age.

I think another good idea would be to "play" restaurant at home. You and your family can pretend that you are out at a restaurant and behave the way you would want to behave when you are out. That way, your children get used to the idea of behaving a certain way, and they behave nicely inside of the house, as well as outside at a restaurant. Your children will think it's fun to pretend they are somewhere else and at the same time, you are creating good habits.

Our boys are only 11 months but they seem to do well so far. It gets really messy htough. I leave an extra tip b/c of the mess.
