Are you a teacher yourself? You may want to consider tutoring on the side. I am going to do that this summer because I am a teacher as well. Tutoring can pay pretty well. I know some people who actually ask for 30-40 hourly, but I will ask only for 20.00 an hour. Besides that and investing your money, I'm not sure of other ways that are practical and not too time consuming. Good luck!
