Is Stigmata for real?

Do you think Stigmata is a real phenomena? Have you ever seen one yourself? What do you think would be causing it and why?

This refers to wounds that appear and disappear on a person's body on their own. What is interesting is that these wounds are those that Jesus Christ suffered before he was crucified. You may also be interested in a movie by the same name.

There are documented cases of people who have faked stigmata. However, the case of Padre Pio was authenticated by the Catholic Church.
