I spend much more time talking with real world friends. I have very few online friends and the online friends I have are actually online friends because they moved away from my location. : ) I would miss the personal interaction of facial expressions, tones and real laughter.

I actually had not thought about it, but you are right! I use : ) quite often to point out that my conversation is not meant to be harsh. It really is kind of sad. I guess there isn't much of an alternative with more and more communication being online.

The only people I talk to online are friends from college who've moved away.

I go to school, so I'm always talking to people there. Outside of school though I really don't do anything but homework, work, and visit with my girlfriend. I gotta start partying more lol.
