Do you still talk to real world people?

The internet has become the hottest thing in socializing and making new friends. But do you regularly talk with people in your own area offline? Do you spend more time with real world friends or online friends?

I spend much more time talking with real world friends. I have very few online friends and the online friends I have are actually online friends because they moved away from my location. : ) I would miss the personal interaction of facial expressions, tones and real laughter.

yeah, isn't it funny how much energy has been put into emoticons to help us replace that real life smile or giggle? Kinda sad, really....

I actually had not thought about it, but you are right! I use : ) quite often to point out that my conversation is not meant to be harsh. It really is kind of sad. I guess there isn't much of an alternative with more and more communication being online.

The only people I talk to online are friends from college who've moved away.

I go to school, so I'm always talking to people there. Outside of school though I really don't do anything but homework, work, and visit with my girlfriend. I gotta start partying more lol. If you want to talk more with others, check out http://www.dormcheck.com/register.php?refer=Dinner
