My son was hyper from birth...lol. He is now on Concerta and it was a really hard dissision to make. We tried him school for the first two weeks and when he came home everyday he would tell me how he hated it and DID NOT want to go back. I sat down with his teacher, counsler and the principal and talked with them and the best thing I did for him was putting him back on his medication. He loves school and looks forward to it!! He has only been ther for 3 months and is already learning to read. It is a call on your behalf on what steps you want to take, but me personally there is something as ADD and ADHD. Although it is over diagnosed alot now I know for a fact that there are some beautiful children out there that do have it and need the extra "help".

my sister boy had it when he was younger but it went away when he hit his teens. Then again I think my sister just wanted an excuse to give her child something she wasnt the best mom

I don't but my wife works with kids with ADHD I gotta say I think this is a misdiagnosed disorder most of the time. Kids are just hyper sometimes. I truly believe someimtes people use this disorder as an excuse
