How can anyone not believe there is a higher power?

If someone has never seen the movie March of the penguins it may sound like "just one of those nature movies". However, I recommend you give it a try. It is so astonishing how heroic these little creatures are. But even more amazing is how nature has thought of every little detail for this creatures to go on their heroic journey.
The ordeal that these penguins have to endure just to procreate and make sure that the egg endures through the freezing weather, taking turns between each other is incredible. The slightest change in temperature and the egg does not survive. I found it a very inspiring movie. What do you say?

Nature is indeed spectacular. The intricate ways that life has found to strive are awe-inspiring.
Luckily, it is not necessary to resort to a supernatural higher power to explain such things. Nature itself has very complicated mechanisms to provide such adaptation and the power of survival for species even in the harshest of conditions, and nature had millions of years to perfect these mechanisms.

Just like a Monet painting cannot happen by chance by just throwing some paint on the canvas, our universe had to have some major purpose and intent to be able to have the intricate details in the simplest organism. Nature indeed is a very complicated organism. It is impossible that it just happened "by chance."

I concur 100%, that there is absolutely no way it could have occured by chance.
But evolution is really just _the opposite_ of chance. Species do not evolve by chance, they evolve by adapting to their environment and therefore increasing their chances of survival. It is not chance at all - it is a very logical process directed, yes, by a purpose: the need of survival and reproduction.

Sorry for it but.
If someone has never seen a virus spreading and killing his hosts cells it may sound like "just one of those nature documentaries". However, I recommend you give it a try. It is so astonishig how heroic the virus are. But even more amazing is how nature has thought of every little details for this creatures to go on their journey. The ordeal that the viruses have to endure just to proceate and make that new viruses survive the host immune system, escaping antibody and infecting other cells is just incredible. The slighest mutation and the viruses will not be able to infect cells and do not survive. I think it is very inspiring of how intelligent is the designer. Not only this, but if they may even kill the host and spread further for other hosts. What do you say?
See, you are seeing in nature a justification for God, the same god you believe exists created viruses that kill, cancer that is a horrible way of dying. Nice huh?
I saw the movie, the only thing I saw was nature response to teh environment, not magically created in an instantaneous moment, but evolved from thousands, if not more, years.

I havent seen the movie myself but I agree with what you are saying regardless....the animal world, the natural world and even the human world IS NOT proof of some higher power....our survival instincts are just that, surivival instincts that have changed with the times over millions of yrs.....its no proof of anythign other than that IMO
