Donate time or money to any non-profit organizations? Which ones do you find worth your time or money?

I have just found a search engine that you donates money to organizations for ever search you do. It is called Goodsearch.com I think I got the link from a discussion that was started here on mylot. I cannot afford to give mone to charity. I have little to give. But, this is a way that I can do it and it is painless.

Hi ProfClark, Yes, I do both, for the same organisation. Personally, I try to tithe 10 percent of my earnings to worthy causes. I'm a management consultant so I also donate time and consulting advice (mainly on promoting the Centre and it's services) to the Centre for Inner Studies in Singapore. This is a non-profit organisation that teaches Pranic Healing - an alternative healing modality that focuses on healing at the "energy body" level. The World Pranic Healing Foundation also runs charitable initiatives, and I regularly donate to the MCKS Food for the Hungry Foundation. I also visited 2 of the "feeding sites" in Manila to do some of the feeding to the beneficiaries. Some of them survive on only 1 meal a day so every bit we contribute helps. In Singapore, where I live, I join my group of pranic healing friends when we visit some old folks in poorer parts of town. We talk to the old folks and give them food and money. Main thing is to show that someone cares, since some of them have never married or have been abandoned by their families. Cheers! Andre www.theultimatesuccessmanual.com
