Explaining the birds and the bees.

Recently me and my boys were racked out on the couch watching tv when a commercial came on and it showed a brief image of two guys kissing. My five year old son asked the question...."Mom, is it ok for boys to kiss each other". We've already answered the issue of why my husband and I kiss. We keep things very casual and clean around the kids. But when asked I explained that we kiss because we love each other. We're full of hugs and they will give each other hugs and kisses on the cheeks but I know that he saw the difference in that image. When is the right time to explain homosexuality to children/teenagers?

I'm not sure that there is a "Right Time" to explain homosexual behavior to children. I'm not sure that I would be able to explain it to anyone. My leaning would be to ask a professional in the field of emotional maturity about this, and see what they suggest. I hope this is helpful.
