the last and deciding one day match between india and sri lanka just concluded... and for those of you all who watched the match would know exactly what i m talking about... this is what happened... sehwag cuts one to the fielder at third man and calls for a run..instead of taking the run he CALLOUSLY walks to the other end.. mean while fielder throws the ball to the keeper who in turn hits the stumps at the other end... AND OUR MAN SEHWAG has not even bothered to reach the crease.. and is busy tapping the pitch.. adjudged RUNOUT!!! i mean what was he thinking.. i think he still has not realised the seriousness of the situation he is in... should he be kept in the team or not.. going by his attitude.. what do you think

Hi, such callousness by one player can affect the entire team morale and just may be the difference between winning and losing.
Even today, had one more wicket fell after sehwag's dismissal, we would have been in dire straits. It's the experience of ganguly and yuvraj which had seen us through.
See, in other teams, even the no. 11 batsmen put a price on their wickets, making the bowler work hard to earn their wicket. It's a pity that sehwag doesn't feel so. The mistake he had done today will not be committed even by a boy playing street cricket casually. That he displays this casual attitude in a trophy deciding international match which is a dress rehersal for the world cup is unpardonable to say the least.
Here I want to add that even our ganguly doesn't ground the bat on time when he reaches the crease during running between wickets. He had lost his wicket more than once for the same reason. He has to correct it. Hope sehwag's incidence serves as a wakeup call to him as well. Thanks.

exactly.. i wonder why our selectors dont think of such things.. i know they are great players but if they dont do the simple things right then its goin to be very hard against teams like south africa and australia

We can hope, he will be back with his previous form in world cup matches. If not this is the last chance for him.Anyway we can see what happening there.

Of course, his attitude towards cricket has always been a question since he was in the cricket team. He was always a lucky to be on the pitch cricket player who plays like his wish and if it was his day he will be on the pitch and score good runs else he will be on the pavilion in seconds. I definitely feel that he does not definitely deserve a place in the indian team with his attitude and commitment.

I love veeru, he is great and did wonders for Indian cricket, but some how he lost his form and confidence, dravid has given sehwag every opertunity to gain his confidence but he failed to capitalise the opertunities, Once again luck favours sehwag as he included in the WC squad, lets hope for the best from Sehwag
