why do we have people living on the streets and our goverment won't help?

Have you ever wondered why we have so many homeless people living in boxes and out of their cars? the goverment says its because they don't have enough money to help out these people! But yet they can send billions of dollars to other countries that are squandering the money and living very well to me that just sucks I know i use to be one of those people living on the streets. I was lucky though I did have my car to sleep in but when I ask for help I was denied because they said there wasn't any money to help me get back on my feet. what do you think do you beleive that charity should start at home? should we take care of our own first? whats your thoughts
