Is having a good handwriting important?

Noe that everything is computerised, having a good speed in typing seems to be more important.

Most artists have messy looking handwriting. Try to read a Doctor's handwriting!!! I guess it depends on your occupation. I would think a Teacher should have legible handwriting. I know it was important in school for getting proper credit. Spelling can mean all the difference though in professions like Doctors or Lawyers.
