My son is turning 3 this April but until now he is unable to speak well. Although he can say mommy and some words but unlike any other child who can speak well and can really communicate with adults. I'm a bit worried since my nephew who is the same age with him is already speaking well.

I wouldn't worry to much as children do not all develop at the same rate and he just may be a little slower than some others out there. If they are exposed to a lot of older children, they tend to pick up the language quicker also. If you are really concerned, you should check with your doctor about it. If there are problems, the doctor can refer you to a speech therapist.

Thanks for the advised. It's maybe because my son is always with his nanny and she just let him watch tv most of the time. That's why when it's my rest day or even when I'm home I always talk to him what he did for the rest of the day or everything to talk about.

I think there's nothing to worry about. A lot of children are like that. Just try to make sure that you always talk to your son and that he hears a lot of conversation. He'll be talking in no time.

Thanks! Perhaps your right! since my son is always with his nanny. My husband and I are both working. We only spent time with him during rest days. I'm in the night shift so when I'm already home my son is still sleeping. I woke up when I'm about to go to work.
