What was missing?

I particularly liked watching this show although it didnt make the even of its first season. Although there is a small cult following. what was really missing that they axed it?
Did anyone liked the movie?

I personally don't think the series was missing anything -apart from support from the executives..it boiled down to "Money"..the show cost Millions to produce,when there were cheaper shows (quality and cost) being considered that "only" cost thousands..the bean counters won.!
