Alrighty, fess up! What was the worst impulse purchase you have made? Spill the beans here!
Do you make impulse purchases frequently, or do you have more will power then I do? Do you always keep your impulses, or do you return them to the stores?

My impulse buys are usually clothes that don't look great on me or jewellery i don't like enough to wear! I always end up selling them on ebay but i have to say i'm getting better. My boyfriend gets annoyed because i spend too much time wondering whether to buy something or not.

hah! me too. I'm getting better as well. Sometimes I'll shop around a store, and have a ton of stuff in my car or carry around a ton of stuff, then before I get to the cash register I end up dumping half the stuff on a random shelf and only buying one or two things. But at least it's better than having to return to the store the next day to return half the stuff, or feeling bad that I bought a bunch of stuff I really shouldn't have in the first place.

My worst impulse buy has to be a coat. It was gorgeous in the shop, looked so stylish and classy I just had to have it. I went in and melted the plastic to buy this coat, with it's lovely velvet trimmed collar and cuffs, it looked so cool and I proudly wore it home. That evening I wore the coat out with friends but I couldn't figure why they were smiling, until I caught sight of myself in a full length glass door. Jeez I looked so dumb, the coat was completely the wrong style for me, too long and it didn't hang properly at all.
That coat stayed in the cupboard for over a year, unworn and unwanted, before I decided it had to go, and a £200 coat went to a charity shop

Usually any time i do any kind of shopping other than grocery shopping, and even then, I am very guilty of impulse shopping. I usually don't shop with a list, and most of the time I just go to the mall for something to do, and buy things while I"m browsing. The most expensive thing I "impulse purchased' was a pet...though I still have said pet, and love him very much. =) Sometimes if I buy clothes without trying them on first, I have been known to return them to the store, but for the most part, what I bought I wanted, so I keep it.
