Both the actors are i think the best in Hollywood in terms of their acting .... But which actor do you prefer as the better one ...???...
As for me i think its Tom hanks beacuse of the simplistic touch he lends into his acting....

I prefer Tom Hanks, and yes you're right I think it's because of his simplistic touch. Two perfect examples are The terminal, and the Green Mile. He portrays a wonderful calmness without being weak. I just think he is a aw-some actor and I would like to believe in real life he is just as gentle and yet strong
