i just finished watching this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=WCoVaeYHzWA and i might say it's pretty disturbing because they do rule the world...don't they?So ...how come if they are suggested to be so stupid did they become so powerful?Any theories related to that?

The American system is essentially the blending of an Anglo, or English, social system with an Israelite monetary system (this is a definition that is pushed in many religious circles, namely the Mormons). Throw in that mix the Norse influence (Vikings, or Normans) and, presto, you have America. The driving brute force is from the Norman influence, pillaging and, well, raping (though not done in modern times, at least not by many Americans). The civilized veneer is provided by the English, a seemingly reliable but overwhelmed court system. The Israelite banking underpinnings are also borrowed from Europe, and the most recent modern development is the Federal Reserve, which in 1913 revolutionized money and stabilized economies. Solomon had a similar system as king of Israel at around 1,000 B.C., I believe. It is a hybrid culture, but very blunt and basic in its execution. Therefore, it is easy to see why many people would regard Americans as stupid, but they are not.

yes american culture is a hybrid one. but, because there is a "but", you don't have you're facts right firt of all the original banking system was developed by the Dutch ( who are among the first colonists who came to america, not the norse; the norse just came before colombus, but they left). the dutch being the same people who actually founded New York. and the israelits came much later. except the dutch, only the french and the english came to north america at first. so come to think of it, WHAT IS A TRUE AMERICAN?

America is strong because it is hybrid. American system rewards excellence and as long as you can climb to the top in just about any field, you'll be well rewarded. Americans respect excellence regardless of race or religion. Look at the African Americans, most are living in poor neighbourhoods but when they succed (mainly in sport, music and the military) they really succeed. Wouldn't call Americans stupid-more like Naive -they're as intellectually curious as a two-year old cat, which can be quite disturbing.

Actually that US is the dominant world economy is as much a matter of luck as anything else. European nations were destitute after WW2. America imposed punitive conditions of UK for there help in WW2 and this allowed them to become economically powerful. Since then they have run a very protectionist economy with many restrictions to free trade from Europe but should Europe become united, being, as a whole, much more economically powerful than US, will undoubtedly force US to remove these restrictions. This will lead to a US decline and a rise in Europe, at least until China fully emerges. all the best urban

i think that are americans consider themeselves to be so important that they don't think about the rest of the world. they don't consider it important enough. they might not be stupid but they sure are ignorant.

Think that they are self-centered?Interesting...i presume that they kind of are.Or is it ignorants?Hey they consider themselve to be the best what do they need to know about the rest?In my humble opinion that's a little too much but as long as they don't bother me with that attitude it's ok.

same here. and the thing that bothers me the most is that they think it's in their god given right to get into other countries affairs to settle them.

Let's be fair to the Americans. On the whole, the USA has been a force of good. Unlike previous Super Powers in history, the USA actually does things like dole out money to the less fortunate and Americans are actually quite sweet when you get to know them as individuals. The main problem with America is actually the fact that they set themselves up to be the world's "Good Guys" and forget that when you promote yourself as a hero, the world will pounce on your every failing. Look at "Abu Gharib" - it was not actually the tortures that the rest of the world hated. Saddam was no boyscout. What was horrifying was the fact that the Good Guys were behaving like Bad Guys. Look at Israel. Say what you like about Jews, Zionism, Arabs and so on, most of the problems in the Middle East come from the perception that the USA is stupidly biased. In Israel, you can actually criticise Israeli policies. There are Peace loving Israeli's who call some of their nations policies what they are - morally wrong. Try criticising ISraeli policy in the USA -"Land of the Free" and before you know it, you are labbled a dangerous anti-semite (never mind that Arabs are semites too) and some so called Christian who can't read his or her own Bible will try to silence you by telling you that you are unGodly. In Asia, Americans are generally well regarded though. We admire American education and by and large American people. However, when something bad happens, we do notice American self-interest at play and that can irritate

I have to disagree with what was shown. I knew the question to everything he asked and caught that the map he had, had Australia marked as other countries like France and stuff. I like to stay informed about things going on in the US and in the World. I think that I could go anywhere in the world and get the same type of thing. You just have to edit out any correct answers then you can show what ever country you want as idiots.

hey friend, see nothing is here like this that those americans are stupid, only thing is in other countries there are less opprtunities and more population so everbody has nade themselves tuff and mentally strong and smart to be in a race, in america thing is opposite, here americans has lot of opportunities and less people, so they just dont have to do any hard work, that why they are called dumps, basically no body is so, all are good, whether american s or non american, its all about their timing!!!

Yes it's true they have a lot of opportunities but i still think they should have some ideea about what is going on in the rest of the world.Because on one hand America has grown thanks to a lot of brilliant people who immigrated from other countries and made that land prosper.

Oh dear indeed. I've just watched that... I honestly believe that America is more of a danger to itself than terrorists are, especially with what's happened recently. To Americans, America is the world, they have no reason to go anywhere else in the world because everything they need is right in front of them. I heard that something like only 11% of people there have passports.
