What does it mean when someone says "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina" to you? This was preceded by "See you sometime in the future". When I said I didn't understand the reference, I was told I would get the joke if I'd seen the film (which I haven't).
What joke? What was this person trying to tell me? It's someone who's very mixed-up and unhappy right now and I'm worried about them. Do they mean they won't be around for a while but they'll be back? It's the joke part that's confusing me more than anything, because they weren't in a joking mood at the time.

I'd think they were referring to the movie "Evita" with Madonna.
Don't cry for me Argentina - is like saying..don't feel sorry for me, don't pity me.
I'd try to get your friend help. It sounds like they might need it.

This is what is bothering me. I just hope they don't intend doing something silly.
