violent cartoons for children

do you like the cartoon "Tom and Jerry"? I love it. But is it really made for children? I think it's not quite suitable for children because it's too violent. The way tom and jerry fight are really funny, but also violent. What do you think about it? And I'm sure there are also a lot of cartoons that are like tom and jerry with many violence with it that's supposed to be fun.

Tom and Jerry can hardly be deemed violent when compared with modern cartoons.

My daughter loves to watch Tom & Jerry, I don't worry about the violence, it is just a fun cartoon. No harm in it.

tom and jerry has been around for sooooo long. yeah they fight a lot...as cats and mice are supposed to. i think it was much later that cartoons became "really" violent...i'd much rather my child watch tom and jerry then some of the new and really violent cartoons.
p.s. i grew up watching tom and jerry and i'm not warped!
