valves

Are there valves in the veins AND the arteries or are they only in veins?

the valves are present in the all the vein, especially in superficial. It is present in the Large artery(aorta, pulmonary vein)

Well i guess there are only valves in the veins....the blood that flows in the arteries in from the heart so the pressure at which the heart pumps the blood is sufficient fr the blood to reach the various parts...but in the veins since blood has to go back to the heart against the pressure they require valves which work on contraction and expansion technique to get the blood back to the heart...
