My mom and dad knew a whole lot of people around where we lived so of course if we did anything it would always get back to mom and dad before we got home. When I asked mom one day how in the world she found out things we did and how in the world did she find out before I got home. Mom looked at me in my eyes with a straight face and said, "A little birdie told me." Me being a kid thought she meant a real bird and I looked at her and said if I ever catch that bird I am going to kill it. Mom just turned around and walked away laughing. Later when I got older and found out who and how many of those little birdies there were, boy did I feel dumb.

LOL, my Mom's thing was "I have eyes in the back of my head". She caught me one day trying to find those eyes and I felt silly. But, don't you know I used the same line on my kids. I tried in on my 4 year old grandson but he's too smart, "Grandma your silly, you do not."

I know that story my mom and my aunt had that one going althought it was a bluebird she lived in ashland and man she would know everything before we got down there I couldn't belive how much that bird would tell on us.we buy her bluebirds eveytime we find one I also passed this down to my kids if thier room isn't clean or whatever if they won something she would call them and tell that bluebird would come in there and dance around telling her what was going on..they love it passing these things down are wonder ideas it doesn't hurt anyone or anything
