What do you feed your cat?
I feed mine Purina Kitten Chow and Meox Mix canned.
Does anyone feed their cat dry only? wet food only?
What would cat food do you recommend? I need to switch my cat over in a few months when she turns a year old. I want to get a good brand.

We've used Dads Indoor cat formula for 4 years now.. and we use Nine Lives (or whatevers in the yellow can) They have a bowl of dry they can eat anytime, then "dinner time" is around 5 or 6 at night and they get a tablespoon of the wet stuff..

Mine just eat dry food, though I give them chicken and fish occasionally, and sometimes get them tin if I have the money.
They seem happy enough with dry food though the response when they get tin speaks volumes about how much they like the tinned food. I just don't think it looks very good for them and would rather give them real meat occasionally that the tins.

We feed our cat all dry food. NutroMax Natural Choice is the brand we buy. We put his food in a big feeder and it lasts weeks for him. Wet food is just smelly and messy and I prefer not to deal with it. Besides, our cat likes the dry food, so it all works for me. You can buy the dry food in big bags, and then you also have less trash, because you aren't tossing a metal can every day.

She was teething when I started giving her wet. She recently had an accident(she jumped, hit the corner of a table, and broke a tooth) so I'm still giving her some wet. She can't chew the dry very well right now. Otherwise, I'd give her the dry. I dont mind the trash or clean up, its an itty bitty can anyway.

I guess its just that nobody know how to feed a pet:
the best.
I feed my cats human-food raw chicken thighs, which is by far the healthiest thing to feed a cat...
for thousands of years cats lived in the wild without food provoded by humans, therefore making them able to hunt. At that time, they only ate raw animal meat and cats have not evolved to manmade foods. The natural thing for them to eat is by far raw meat.

Uh, thanks for the reply. I can't afford to give her raw food everyday, so the cat food will have to suffice.

I feed my cats Meow Mix Indoor Formula almost all the time. It seems to be doing my cats great, my oldest is nine and I have had her since the day she was born. When I do give them wet food, it is only as a treat and I give them whatever brand I happen to pick up since they only get it max once per week. It is funny how I have trained them. I say "kitty treats" and they both come running and meow at me instantly. It comes in handy when I need to find them in a hurry ;)

I feed mine CatChow and then i give them Fiskers wet food for dinner. I just took them off thier KittenChow. When we bought them, thier owners had them eating Scinde Diet.

We feed our cats Iams dry as well as wet. They have a bowl of dry set out for them all day for nibbling. They get a little wet for breakfast and dinner. We change up the wet every few months, they get bored with certain flavors and brands. They don't like Whiskas wet though.

Purina is a good name brand, but I think just about any cat food has all the essential nutrients. I think you'll soon find out that your cat will be telling you what tastes good and what doesn't!

I feed my cats all dry food with the occasional treat of wet food. Like once every other month. I used to feed them Iams only. But recently I discovered Purina All Naturals. I think that's the name. It's about the same price as Iams and my cats love it. I have never seen them so happy about food before.
I try to stay away from the cheap ones like Friskies, Meow Mix and Whiskas because they are nothing but fillers. That's what makes them cheap and your cat will get fat.
