i've never like wearing makeup , i like to be comfortable a pair of jeans , a t-shirt and sneakers and i am ready to go, i seen people that spend hours in front of the mirror to go to the grocery store, and others that look pretty uncomfortable with high heels and tight clothe just to walk around in the mall , you can count the times in a year i wear make up only in holidays and special occasions and i do it because my kids get a kick out of it,now i have a question am i wrong for doing this ,am i giving my daughter a bad example or am i teaching her to be happy with who she is and not with what she look like?

It's nice to be natural. I love to wear makeup on special occasions. On a day-to-day basis, I usually wear lipstik.

Be comfortable with who you are.Don't worry about it.
I have never bothered with makeup. I have nothing against it. It's just not something I'm concerned about. Luckily, my husband prefers women being naturual. He doesn't like seeing women with makeup caked on all of the time.
Don't worry about your daughter. She will be who she is whether you wear makeup or not. Two of my daughters are grown and married. To see the oldest you would have thought she was raised to think makeup was a necessity. She won't go out without her face. The other grown daughter does wear makeup. If she has to go out without it, she will.

I'm not a big makeup wearer either. Some days I do, some days I don't. When I do wear makeup, it's only mascara and blush. I have 2 daughters, they are 16 and 21 and they both wear makeup. I think it makes both of them feel more confident. They both will also go without makeup too. I think both of my daughters are happy with themselves, and they just like makeup because it makes them feel better about themselves. It looks nice on them, and never trashy or too much, so I'm fine with it too. You're not giving your daughter a bad example, you're telling her it's ok to be her with or without makeup. As for me, I can't really remember the last time I wore heals, it's been a loooonnnggg time. I'm a jeans and nice shirt kind of chick..... :)

you are not wrong at all about this. it will help teach her that being without make up is natural and beautiful. and that its not the "end of the world" if she is seen without makeup, which for some stupid reason a lot of teens act like.
i do the same thing in fact. lol only during special occasions do i wear makeup...and certainly NOT for a trip to the grocery store! lol thats just a waste of makeup in my opinion!
