What is your favourite dance movie?

Center Stage and Dirty Dancing! These movies are great.

For ballet, I pick The Turning Point. For Country dancing, Urban Cowboy. For Ballroom, I have a tie, Dance With Me and Strictly Ballroom and Shall We Dance, the Japanese version. And I also enjoyed Salsa.

well i like center stage, fantastic! the movie honey by jessica alba i think she has the groove. you got served well hip-hop dancing. can i also add bring it on 1 and 2? high school musical is good too.

Mine is Dirty Dancin'....I know it's an older movie but I own 3 copies of it,in case one wears out.....LOL.....I watch it at least once a month and all my kids enjoy it too

Although I do love Center Stage, I would have to say that Save the Last Dance is my absolute favorite dance movie. I think it has more of a real life type plot to it, and keeps my attention focused on it more. Although Center Stage does have a real life parallel plot its one that isn't known as much because it is more of an inside a dancer's life plot and you have to be involved in the industry to really understand how true it is, as where Save the Last Dance you see these type things on the street alot, and it is more of a believable plot.

well many of them are classics with Gene Kelly, Fred Astair etc etc...more modern ones though (but still old LOL) would be Grease, Flashdance, Fame and Saturday Night Fever..

i think it would be grease in my opinion. i liked that movie, that i also wanted to watch part2. also was happy when i thought part3 was going to come out but figured those rumors were a lie.

Oh my Dirty Dancing! All time dance faverite. I loved the song Best time of my life. Hehe ... Next should be take the lead. I dont know why but i loved what they did to modern songs and made it into a great ballroom dancing.

Mine was "step up" Love it coz all sorts of dancing were shown in that movie. Wish i could dance like them. They are so talented.

I'm an absolute sucker for dancing movies. The only thing I really hate about them, is every time I watch one I regret quitting lessons in my early teens. My top three favourites would have to be Center Stage, Bootmen and Billy Elliot. I find my inclusion and even general like of Billy Elliot odd as when I was learning I absolutely hated ballet class. Yet, this movie absolutely pulls at my heart each and everytime I watch it.

I love Coyote Ugly.

My favourite dance movie is "Dance with me." Is a very beautiful love story. Had seen in on a movie channel. I am trying to get it but cant find it anywere.

DIRTY DANCING..... of course!! My all time favorite. The music, the dancing dancing dancing, Patrick Swayze!! Footloose is my 2nd favorite!! I can watch these two over and over and never get tired of either one!!

I love Center Stage! And my husband pretends not to like it but sits through the whole thing whenever I put it on. I also really like Save The Last Dance. Julia Stiles is such a good actress and I loved her in this movie. Now I want to watch one of them!

I know this discussion is a year old but I'm going to respond anyways. My favorite dance movie has to be Save The Last Dance. The first one. I watched the second one and didn't like it much.
