to all parents here. do you regularly attends the regular parents meeting in school? I do it regularly for it updates me on the behaviour and stand of my children in school. It also a time for us parents to talk to teachers and be updated in school policies and activities. in our place they give awards also to parents who are very supportive in school projects and to their children

Yes, I do. Before, when they are still in pre school, I only attend some of them. But lately, I realized that family is far more important than work, so I now attend all that I can. The teacher even called me " the ever supportvie mom"

I attended a few parents' conferences while my sons were growing up. Most of the time I would be very particular about what was going to be addressed at the conference. If it was something that could be taken care of over the phone, then I insisted on doing that. There was no need for me to go to the school for most things.

Like parent teacher confreneces? These are offered at my sons school at theend of every nine weeks. However, the teachers are onyl available a handful of hours until 4pm. So it makes it hard to see them. I tend to not go unless my son has a problem in one ofhis courses. not the best habit, but I am at the school for all of the events and am very active in all of his activites. Plus, this year his teacher and I don't see eye to eye, so I try to avoid her.

Unfortunately because I live nearly an hour out of town, I cant make them although sometimes I'd like to go. However, I always attend the kids sporting, assembly and other events where parents can attend, unless Im unable to leave work. I always think its great and the kids love it when I watch them play sport, sing at an assembly or other.
