I have a seperate family with only 4 members viz. Me my sister and our parents. Some times i wonder if We and our uncles family would have been living togeather and we could have been having lots of fun with all my cousins . But some times i see certain joint families having quarells and other problems within them and even lack of privacy, at that time i thank god for our seperate family.
What kind of family do u have and which one do u prefer??
and why??

there are pros and cons in every sphere of life. at present i along with my spouse and baby girl are living separately. really i feel very monotonas(lonlyness)at the time of festivals, birthday party and marriage party. nobody with us to share this moment with us sometime. so my opinion is that joint family is better than nuclear family. i have five years old baby girl to whom i had to kept her in cretch because my betterhalf is school teacher and she picked her up after 2.30 p.m. where she is not attneded by the attnedent properly. thanks.

People in my city all like the concept of small family. This means that a family with only the parents and the children. They don't live with uncles, aunts and grand parents. This is actually caused by objective factors. Our city is small and the price for even a very small apartment is extremely expensive. So everybody's home is not big enough to hold lots of people. Yes, as you say large family living together tend to have problems and conflicts between relatives. In fact many Chinese families in mainland China are big ones and they have all kinds of problems. I think what you said "separte family" is much better that a big one.

I prefer a separate family, as yes it is lovely when we get together with other family members but it if we lived together there would be a lot of fights and quarrels, and while we are close now this would only bring problems, to our families so it is best to stay the way we are, and visit our families more.

i would prefer a seperate family but has a great bonding with other relatives. my family and relatives are like that. in this way, we get to enjoy our private family life and at the same time, we also have time to have lots of fun when them when there are moments that they are visiting us here or we're the ones that visits their places. we have great family ties here although we live separately, we gather when there are events, when there are problems, when we feel like visiting, but we also have time to be with the core family only and also do stuffs that core family do. we also enjoy not getting envied upon or having to have family arguments because we are living independently from them.
