oracle vs sql server

i want to know that if we have sql server the product of microsoft then what are the reasons that we prefer to use oracle software?

This can turn into a lengthy discussion... :)
I currently use Microsoft SQL on a daily basis and also write trigger, stored procedures and DTS packages in SQL. I have spoken to a couple of developers who know both SQL and Oracle and 99% of them said that they prefer to use SQL because it's more user friendly and much easier to use compared to Oracle.
I think in the end it depends what database backend you require and if you can use any one, it boils down to personal preference. My personal preference is SQL... :)
