oracle vs sql server

i want to know that if we have sql server the product of microsoft then what are the reasons that we prefer to use oracle software?

ORACLE IS BEST BUT .NET MOSTLY SUPPORT SQL ONLY

And there is a lot of programs currently using the .net infrastructure and a lot of developers are currently developing in .net. Back to my post, it all depends what database your program supports and personal preference... :)

This can turn into a lengthy discussion... :) I currently use Microsoft SQL on a daily basis and also write trigger, stored procedures and DTS packages in SQL. I have spoken to a couple of developers who know both SQL and Oracle and 99% of them said that they prefer to use SQL because it's more user friendly and much easier to use compared to Oracle. I think in the end it depends what database backend you require and if you can use any one, it boils down to personal preference. My personal preference is SQL... :)

there some reason for security or easier to use. im not advance in database but i think mysql is good
