I have read the novel Da Vinci Code and found it as a normal , fiction novel, high on imagination and flights of fantasy.
But, the factor which worked in its favor was its original theme (it was a first nobody else had ever tried writing such a Historical, religion based thriller fiction and Dan Brown went laughing to bank as a millionaire).
No, i don't think the novel had anything real, it was just pure fantasy, and one must admit Dan used a lot of his imagination to come up with this novel.

My friend, first of all do not post using text messaging conventions. This is a discussion forum and people get irritated when you don't spell out properly. It is "you" not "u". People are not"ppl", and is not"n" etc. etc.
Second, in answer to your question the Da Vinci Code is a fictional novel, but because it is set in part in historical places a lot of people believe all of it or some of it.
