Does anyone have any ideas about how to handle diapar rash on newborns. We think it may be caused by the wipes we are using. Once we stop using them and just us soap and water it clears up. Any Ideas on different creams and wipes that may help. Thanks

We've never had any major diaper rash problems with either one of our boys, but when my oldest was on Antibiotics, he got diaper rash REALLY bad, the only thing that helped clear it up was Aveeno Diaper Rash cream. We tried all the cheap ones first, and then decided we might as well try, it cleared up within 2 days! I'm not sure about the wipes you are using, but I know unscented ones are usually easier on their skin, A lot of brands make specific ones for newborns with sensitive skin, they will probably be more expensive, but worth it I'm sure. At home, I would stick to the soap and water, though inconvenient, probably best for the baby.

i use pampers sensitive wipes when my little lad got a sore bum-bum and it was fine. Have you tried cleansing cream and cotton balls instead of wipes? its a bit messier but it may help!

Use a good diaper rash cream with every changing. Also, let his/her tushy "air out" (Walk around a little without a diaper on, the fresh air helps. It could also be the diapers aside from the wipes. If it gets worse, call the doctor they can call in an rx for it.

Just try another brand of diaper. Don't stick to one brand. Maybe there are brand of diaper suitable for baby.
