well..by choosing a best response u resolve them..actually meaning u close the thread..but discussions still keep goin on..it actually says u've found the answer to what u asked in case ur askin 4 help..or ur satisfied with the replies that u got..i used to keep most of my discussions without marking the best response..only if they dont receive a reply 4 too long, i mark it..but that really has to do nothin with ur discussion being open or closed!!

well nancy, as i said..choosing a best response doesnt stop ur discussions from getting more responses..but just 4 ur own satisfaction u choose it..perhaps maybe if u really have a lot of responses..u can choose a best out of it and mark it..something dat really deserves..and ur discussion will still go on!atleast, dats wtz happenin here!

I haven't resolved any of mine yet as I want to get as many responses as I can before I choose a best one, is this advisable? I thought I'd leave them a week before I pick one as I assume you can only do it once?

discussion you dont mark a best response.....
i think it will increase your reputation
and earning with no unresolvded discussion!

I don't think you can resolve a respond, but you can resolve your own discussion by picking best response. I do that every week on a certain day unless I forgot all about it and somebody just reminded me to do so.
