I have been in Belize twice in 1996. It is a beautiful country and the people are very beautiful. Since English is the primary language, it is easy to get around the country. We visited the Mayan ruins, but because the temple steps were so steep and so high, and it was so hot, I did not climb up .. I stayed in the shade while the others climbed. What is your favorite thing about Belize?

Belize is on the Carribean coast, south of Mexico and east of Guatemala. About 300,000 people live in Belize.

I visited Belize last year. I also enjoyed the Mayan ruins very much indeed. I took a river cruise from Orange Walk and saw crocodiles on the way down there. I climed lots of the beautiful old ruins. The view from one of them was amazing. I just loved seeing all the land around. On a walk with a small group of people I heard a jaguar. Wow! My favourite adventure was staying in a treehouse called Parrot Nest. It was lovely to experince this. I also loved snorkelling around Caye Caulker. I swam with nurse sharks and sting rays. I loved seeing brightly coloured coral and lovely fish. My favourite would have to be the Mayan ruins.

I haver never been there. My brother was there many years ago. He said it was beautiful. He was a foreign exchange student in Guatemala and the family he was with took him many places on trips, so he was fortunate enough to get to Belize.

My favorite thing about Belize is the natural beauty and diversity of the country. The geographic features of this countey provide areas of interest for everyone. The exquisite coral reef that stretches along the coast line is the second largest coral reef in the world. The virbant colors of the reef and the tropical fish attracted by the reef is breath taking. The lush Rain Forest with its tremendous varity of vegetation and wildlife is a challange to the most adventurous and devoted nature lovers. Mayan, Garifuna, Spanish, and English are all among the variety of cultures which make up the colorful population of Belize. The various ethnic celebrations are both educational and fun. The historical ruins of the Mayan culture are one of the wonders of our world. Therefore, the natural beauty and deversity of Belize is my favorite thing about the country.
