how important is it to dance ,some say dance therapy helps deal with depression.hypertension,cardiac aiments psychological issues like low self esteem and confidence while some dance for pleasure ......ppl wat is ur opinion

Hi Im Toya Well dancing is great Its great for socialising and keep fit to start - Theres all kinds of dancing you can do - it depends what music youre into or styles - dance therapy can help with wellbeing - if you go to dance classes you learn how to train your body to be fit, stretch and also concentrate your mind to focus. A lot of dance helps with breathing and posture - dance therapy can help with issues like low self esteem but you have to be careful about who teaches you as it can make you feel worse and more depressed - a bad teacher will make you feel uncoordinated and physically unable to cope with the moves - sometimes the teachers can be too stressful aswell making you repeat exercises over and over again. I do choreography and have danced since i was young - i studied some dance therapy aswell - its great to relax you whatever style of dancing you do Write back so we can talk more ...
