Well as long as they are not on MyLot, lets share some daring cooking stories of our closest... :) I'm for starters, if you didn't know. I'm horrible at trying other people foods...If we have Potlucks at work, I actually find out who cooked what before I eat it, Knowing how some of the people are in my job. No, it doesn't justify eating at a restaurant and I know there is no telling what they do behind those closed doors...lol But one person in particular stands out with me. One of my friends, I swear tries her hardest to cook. If anyone say lets have a little gathering, she's quick to want to cook ALOT of food, however, she can't cook. She made spaghetti for us once and it was very DRY not enough meat in it either. We can't tell her nothing about her cooking..lol...We had her steak and it was hard and dry.... She's one for saying, "we don't know what we're taking about" however, no ones eat her food...Very confident and determined lady, I supose..lol Do you know someone friends or family, that you simply go "ohh gosh, not again" when they decide to cook you, your friends, family nice little meals or dinners? Please share some of your stories...

I don't have a friend I worry about when it comes to cooking, for me it's eating out.....I heard a line in a movie quite a while ago and have stood by it ever since...."I don't eat out.Not because I don't like to eat out but because in the kitchen, where my food is being prepared, the people are talking, laughing and shouting out orders while preparing my food.....only God knows how many different DNA samples are on my plate by the time I take the first bite"

The older I get the more I stay away from people's food, even restuarants. My stomach is not what it use to be. Everytime I go to a church potluck I always get sick, so now I either don't go or I eat before I go and then I only eat what I bring or a close friend of mine prepares. There is this elderly person at church that is just so sweet and lovable who lOVES to make many dishes, but I swear I get so sick when I eat her food. She is the type who does not have clue and she sort of pushes her food on you so people will compliment her cooking. I told a friend I think she is slowly poisoning us. LOL I try so hard to avoid her when I am there and if she ask did I try this or that I just nod my head and pray that I won't get struck down in Church for telling a lie.

In my family, my father does most of the cooking because mom's just not as good at it and doesn't enjoy it that much. Well, this may not quite fit in with what you were asking, since my mother isn't a terrible cook - honestly - but it's a funny story, anyway *laugh* Back when my mother did use to fix our lunches every day instead of dad, we had meatloaf as part of our lunch most days. Let's just say that we found something interesting in our meatloaf one day, lol - I know that it wasn't her fault, but I think that a rubberband out of the drawer above our kitchen counter fell out and into the meatloaf and she didn't see it and cooked it that way, lol! We almost ate it, but saw it first. Thank goodness! ^_^ I wouldn't cringe if she were going to fix me a meal nowadays, but I always think back to that story if I think about her cooking! LOL ^_^
