I attended a wedding, after the Mayor officiated the rites, the newly weds do not have wedding rings. Anyway the Mayor excused them.

Some says that weeding doesn't matter at all it is the relationship that always counts. But for me I like to have one.

Some people might deem engagement as important before settling down. But I noticed that its getting rarer nowadays. It will be between the two of you whether to have one or not. I didn't go through that engagement thing anymore for practical reasons. I'm wearing one only, my wedding ring.

I think it's nice to have one but not necessary. I don't think the added expense of an engagement party is necessary either. It would seem that many people these days make it all about the wedding and don't give a second thought to the future and their marriage. I think it's rediculous for a couple to start out their married life burried from the debt of a huge, expensive wedding. The financial problems of paying for it add unnecessary stress to what is all ready a huge adjustment to make.
The dress, the ring, the party, the guestlist........all unimportant in the grand scheme of things. The only truly important thing is that you are in love and happy! Best wishes to you and yours. :)

Ive been with my boyfriend for six years now. When we decide to get married we will just get married. The whole point of getting engaged is to give the couple little time to know each other before they finally get married. It is easier to break off an engagement than a marriage. After six years I dont see the point of getting engaged and waiting some more time before getting married. When we decide to get married we'll just get married without the added expenses of an engagement.

traditionally, as women, we must have an engagement ring, but it depends on the situation and it depends also financially, but, for me, now a days, it is not so necessary to have one, as long as you are engage to yourselves, deep within, without seeing anyone but me and his family... is it ok, what do you think??
