What is the Most Special Thing You Have Done for Somebody Else?

He's not really my friend, but I'm grateful to him because he was, is, a friend to my best friend. 2 years my best friend and I have no time to keep in touch, and I was grateful to him that he was there for her. So as a Christmas gift to him, I bought special papers, cut them into half-inches, and wrote 365 different quotes in 365 cut papers. Then I folded them into little stars - I still have bruises in my fingers - and placed them in a little box.^^ He has yet to receive them, but I hope he appreciates them. It's the least I can do to express my gratitude, but I'd like to believe it's a special gift. ^_^ So, for people you know or are not really close to, what is the most special thing you have done for him?
